We are so excited to officially introduce our newest litter here at Southwest Maine Coons
Mom is Mercedes. Dad is Tide
Born on April 25, 2025!
Labor began around 1:00 PM, and I was lucky enough to be there for the whole experience. Mercedes was absolutely stellar- she’s been a total rock star mom. She handled everything on her own like a pro, and I didn’t need to assist at all.
And then came the surprise… every single kitten was the same color and ALL boys! I couldn’t stop laughing. I truly wasn’t expecting that, and it makes this litter feel extra special. Since they all came out red, I went with a "red-themed" name set to match their fiery little spirits.
At first glance, I believe they are all cream smokes, but I’ll be watching closely as their coats continue to develop over the coming weeks.

Jasper
First born- 3:10pm- 133grams

Jasper was the very first of his litter to arrive so he holds a special place in my heart. Strong, confident, and full of life, he set the tone for his brothers from day one.
Jasper is a champion eater- he’s never missed a meal and proudly leads the pack when it comes to weight. He’s a big, healthy boy.
He was a little nervous because our dogs were getting too close so he gave us his “big-scary” look and I thought I’d include that photo haha- tough little guy!
Robin
Second Born- 4:15pm- 140grams

Robin is the darkest in this bunch and has the most tabby markings. His feet and tail look like he tiptoed through white paint. He has very expressive eyes. He’ll sit at my feet waiting to be scooped up. Robin likes to hang out on the couch with me. He’s just too cute.
Sol
Third Born- 5:05pm- 141 grams

Sol is a cuddle bug. I’m obsessed with this fluffy coat and tender personality. He is gentle yet has this curious and mischievous side. Someone better snag this cutie before I decide to keep him.
Rory
Fourth Born- 5:55pm- 130 grams

This guy is a natural born leader! He was the first in the litter to climb out of the whelping box, the first to explore beyond my bedroom, and the one who showed his brothers how to conquer the cat tree. Rory has a fearless and confident nature.
He would be an amazing match for an active family or someone who enjoys a curious and outgoing companion.
Phoenix
Sixth Born- 10:15pm- 137 grams

The last born in our Red Litter. He was born after a stillborn; which was heartbreaking. I love this guy. He has been pretty even tempered and typically goes with the flow of all his brothers. I’ll see what sticks out about him in the coming weeks…maybe he’ll be a fierce hunter like his mama
